On this occasion, and for this split-release only, MASSEMORD (the Norwegian band; not the pretenders from Poland) offer us a heavy Death Metal version of themselves, with crushing sound, and strange, growled brutal vocals. SVARTSKOGG (also from Norway; see SYKDOM) offers something closer to the traditional Norwegian Black Metal sound, with miserable dissonance, raw and noisy sound, and grim melodies and atmospheres, just like in the old days.
